Ann and Alec Kaminski, a Polish couple who served in World War II with the goal of liberating Poland from the Germans, have been featured in a national magazine.
Ann currently resides at Life Care Center of Charleston, and Alec lived there until his passing this summer. The skilled nursing and rehabilitation center’s parent company, Life Care Centers of America, manages more than 200 centers around the country and publishes a handful of residents’ life stories each year in its LEADER magazine. The Kaminskis’ story was recently published in the 2017 edition.
The story features the roles that Alec, a Polish military veteran, and Ann, Polish royalty and member of the Polish resistance’s Parasol Unit, served in during WWII. It also features the story of how they met and fell in love.
